James holds degrees in law and in history and politics and was called to the Bar in 2017. He has broad experience in the legal costs sector, both in-house and in costs consultancies, where he has dealt with a range of high-value commercial costs matters, up to and including cases before the Supreme Court and the Privy Council. James has also appeared as an advocate in connection with interlocutory applications, costs and case management and detailed assessment hearings.
